Meet Kayleigh

More Background...
In 2018 I found myself unable to work for nearly a year due to a car accident caused by another driver. I found myself going crazy being stuck at home. For the first time in my life, I began to understand the importance of feeling peace and comfort at home. I began to see how it goes beyond physical comfort. That it encompasses everything from layout functionality and the financial aspect of owning and running a household; to the neighbours, the views, noises and even scents – an overall vibe if you will. Never in my life had so many things been important for me to feel comfortable in my home. Typically all I needed was physical safety, cozy blankets and my family. Without warning I became hyper sensitive to my surroundings. My mental health and recovery became very dependent on how functional my home was and how comfortable I felt within it. My home at the time most certainly did not accommodate these new needs. Thus my husband and I began our house hunt. Upon falling in love with our new home in Savona, I was able to break through a plateau and reach a new level in my recovery. I began to feel more comfortable physically and financially and I was mentally at peace.
I LOVE living in Savona. The friendly members have been incredibly welcoming. Waking up looking at the water and having endless trails to explore but having all amenities so close is more than I could ask. -->
My Pack
After losing our 17 year old Shortgi (Sheltie/Corgi mix,) we felt a huge void within our home. His energy seemed to fill the house, even though he wasn’t very big himself. We luckily found the sweetest girl, Paisley at the SPCA in Kelowna. Her sweet demeanor and zest for life quickly brought us back to life. We felt we had so much love to share that we sought out rescuing another. Dexter came howling his way into our lives and hasn’t stopped since. He’s a silly nut who makes us laugh every day. Now for those that don't know, we recently got a new pupper, Arlo. His spunky personality keeps us on our toes (big doggos included!) He's so sweet and fits in perfectly with our pack.
There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.
